Sources said that Reliance Industries can also adopt GeoPhone’s 4G VoLTE Feature Phone Strategy for this smartphone. The company can offer a bundled service with the Reliance Geo SIM card in this phone. India’s old telecom operators are now partnering with smartphone companies, which can bring the price of 4G smartphones down from Rs 1,500 via cashback. However, sources said that the price of the new Geo smartphone could be even lower.
According to sources, the company will soon be able to order this 4G smartphone for millions of units. He said that Geo Telecom believes in subsidy strategy in the market so that more and more people can be delivered to mobile phones. According to sources, the company could also use this approach for its Android Go smartphone.

This move of Geo is in accordance with the strategies to target those 500 million people using a feature phone, which has not shifted to smartphones due to issues related to costs and usage. Chipset Vendor has confirmed this deal with Mukesh Ambani’s 4G Telecom operator.

Apart from Geo, some indigenous and Chinese handset companies are also reducing the plan to launch Android Go Based Affordable Smartphone. For example, Micromax is also working on the plan to launch an Android Go smartphone for around Rs 2,000. However, Reliance Retail’s new smartphone can remain at the lowest price.

Earlier, the Economic Times reported that Geo Phone had acquired 27% market share in the feature phone market. The company had shipped more than 15 million feature phones from October to December. During this time, the company had removed Samsung from the number one position. Earlier Google had announced Android Go for Entry Level handset. It was created especially considering the phone with less than 1GB of RAM.
